Bill Carter and the Presbybop Quartet: Calendar

Join us for an all-star Jazz Communion on Sunday, September 5 at Bill’s church in Clarks Summit, PA.

Since our regular saxophonist Al Hamme was unavailable, Bill contacted Mike Carbone and asked him to bring his band to the event. Another substitution later, Bill lined up Marko Marcinko to fill in on drums. Then Marko asked if he could bring along a house guest, so the famous Dave Samuels (the Grammy-Award-winning vibraphonist and marimba magician) will be coming too.

Since Dave has played with Spyro Gyra for over twenty years, the band will be playing music by Spyro Gyra (and Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Weather Report, and others). Did we mention it’s a worship service? Indeed it is. If you are in the neighborhood, it starts at 10 a.m.
